There exists a company that makes NG compressors from V8 truck engines; one bank of 4 cylinders drive the crank with NG as fuel, the other 4 cylinders compress the gas up to 5000 psi (the head is replaced with multi-stage compressor parts). Check it out at:
Was a solid ‘maybe’ until I saw ‘CVT’. nope nope nope
the narrow tires are not stock; that would be first on the list for replacement
Saw the Dead Milkmen in ‘86 or ‘87; lead guitarist broke a string about 3 songs into the set. They quit the night, ended ‘concert’ early.
Not ideal - would prefer 4x4, beefier suspension (F250), and stronger engine for towing. But then the price would be double..
I see what you did there

Were I selling this car, would put it in the ATV section of craigslist.
Pro tip: when selling a convertible, the majority of pictures posted should be with the top *down*...
Did they ship without oil in the crank, transmission, axle?
Sure is clean; I like it - up to about $8000
Recent paint could hide a lot of bondo covered rust.. but looking at the underside in that one pic, does not seem too rusted.
Don’t think they had ECU’s in 1979; (my ‘92 Chevy pickup does not) so perhaps the engine installed is *much* newer than the airframe.
What caught my attention was the missing shift knob; just about the easiest item *ever* to source and install.
Technically they are asking 9k for the Sonett; a good car dolly is valued at about $1000 give or take
Its not *that* the timing belt has been replaced, but am more concerned with how recent. If it was done 20 years ago...
Well put; some of the gremlins are hiding within all the 19 year old rubber bits
Guess the seller wanted to increase interest in the car by showing the fun places you can visit if you purchase. And who doesn’t enjoy orange fences and old wood?
Kidding aside, when looking at private ads for cars, it can provoke an emotional response/impulse buy to provide photos that put the vehicle in a fun setting.…
