Would that provide better weight distribution?

Was moving from Illinois to CA, using a rented truck, which malfunctioned in middle of Wyoming, would not run above idle speed. The problem came and went before finally remaining in idle as we approached Gillette. Mechanic there could find nothing wrong; after engine cooled down, problem went away - so trip resumed

Memphis is less than ideal in the summer too.
Years ago was living in Chicago, 2 friends & I decided to visit college friends exiled in TN.. It was July, and we drove my 65 Tempest .. misery was not for mechanical troubles, just beastly hot, even worse with the top down.
