One of the things the sequels never really explored was the physical nature of the Alien. If you look at Giger's design in the first movie it almost looks like it could be some sort of mechanism with cables and tubes. Cameron's movies emphasized the biology of the Aliens, making them into more of a hive organism.

He doesn't use physical force, he raises oil prices until no one can afford to drive to the tournament.

The game Capcom would make if they actually knew what they were doing.

Ok, so the pro-gun-carrying response is that she was clearly not a responsible gun owner. Ok, sure (although when all manner of ostensibly trained and "responsible" gun owners end up accidentally shooting people - i.e. police, soldiers, gun safety instructors - this excuse starts veering into the "no true Scotsman"

You mean a good toddler with a gun, don't you? After all, the only thing that stops a bad toddler with a gun is a good toddler with a gun.

If only there had been a good guy with a gun there to shoot that baby.

Worst part about the attack for me personally wasn't the fact it took down Xbox Live and PSN for a while but rather that the BBC genuinely thought Lizard Squad were fighting for an actual cause and were somehow linked to the Sony hack just because Playstation were involved and decided to 'interview' two guys who

"First conceived by Arthur C. Clarke, it would involve a 22,000 mile (35,400 km) cable extending from the surface of the Earth to geosynchronous orbit (which is beyond where most communications satellites reside)."

Remember at launch when everyone said Little Mac was OP? What about Bowser at the first Nintendo Tournament? How's that working out these days? Those kneejerk opinions changed fast.

I realize Diddy, Bowser, and Mac are very different, but the underlining theme is still the same. The game is too young, people are

Where do I start? Thanks to overwhelmingly idiotic news coverage of aviation, it seems to be one of those fields where lots of people "know all about it". I grind my teeth a lot...

Primary teachers don't get paid overtime. We are only paid for school hours, but the nature of the profession requires extensive after school time for planning, research, and preparing materials. It's not possible to not put in that extra time and still be effective teachers and thus remain employed.

I'm a software engineer and no, I don't sit by myself and mindlessly code all day long. I don't sit with my headphones in refusing or unable to communicate with people. I don't even have a cubicle. I sit in an open workspace with a lot of other people (including managers), am encouraged to communicate freely, and take

I am a college professor, and when i run into new people this is what i generally hear:

I'm a bridge engineer and most people have no idea just how bad the bridges are that their children's school buses drive over every day. They have no idea how roads and bridges get paid for. They have no idea just how little they pay in gas tax to make everything work. They have no idea how much better, faster,

I work in hospitality, so:

...but, but it's just a copy!

Right, bro. In an environment where goods are mostly sold as "copies," your "it's not really theft," argument no longer works.

Fuck pirates.

Off to buy The Talos Principle just to support this kind of awesome response to shitty, entitled little assholes right now.

I'm waiting for someone to invent a game that sleeps with your mom if you try to pirate it.

Now playing

"If Marvel released an X-Men cover of naked Emma Frost scissoring Jean Grey, choosing not to buy it wouldn't somehow make it okay."
