That's what Shinji Mikami said about Evil Within and the black bars actually made the game perform worse. The framerate took a nose dive and only on PC can you remove them.

Nintendo games sell hardware. They can have the best of both worlds. Maintain their game quality and identity while also keeping up with tech standards.
Because I still want to play Nintendo games?
Aside from making a standardized controller, everything I said doesn't actually change the way they do things. A stronger system, more online features, and more third party games doesnt take away from Nintendo games, but only makes their console more appealing to more people.
If you only buy Nintendo games on the Wii U, you're the problem..
I'm not trying to sell you on it because you have a PC.
Third parties get stomped on Nintendo consoles.

But it's still a console, and it still lives or dies based on it's exclusives.
At that point I have no reason to have anything other than my gaming PC.
Well, them being unique is making them suffer in the console market. Nobody buys a console because of the gimmicky BS they come up with, they buy it because of the games. Their games make them unique enough. Starting from the NES, all the way to the Gamecube, Nintendo has been defined by their games, not some BS…
I'm pretty sure it's a combination of a lack of modern services, lower end specs, and multiple controller methods that have extra features like motion and touch screen. Not because "Nintendo games are too good." Publishers have no problem tooting their own horn when it comes to their game winning GOTY. Putting your…
You already have exactly the things you want.
Yeah I watched a review where the reviewer played a scene in the game that was supposed to be a giant siege attack on a fort and you think it's going to be a massive MMO type battle... until you get inside and its a few mobs of enemies...
I feel they could easily maintain their quality in games and create a modern console that attracts third party developers.
In a perfect world, Nintendo:
Unfortunately for Xbox players, I would rather pay to play FF14 and play a substantially better game knowing I get all the content included. Or I would want them to do it like Guild Wars 2. I don't like this method though...
Well MS couldn't even give us a good Kinect game, and they made the damn thing. All they could make was Kinect Sports, and that's not saying much. And I don't care about what could be done with Kinect, like what PC modders have done, because that doesn't affect me at all. None of that is ever going to see the home…
I've always wondered, what goes into making a days worth of articles? Some days are relatively slow days with barely any news, so is there a certain pressure to try and create a certain number of articles per hour or such to try and meet a quota? Or do you handle things more freely and make articles that are worth…
While I love Louie CK and that bit, that doesn't apply when they are showing me things that are never going to be possible but they want me to believe it. They are straight up fabricating concept footage, and when it comes to my money, I have every reason to be skeptical and dismissive because ive been burned by MS…
