Actually that is true. Asking for one or the other (offset or differed bonus) is not unusual. Asking for both is unheard of. Unless the Charger’s position changed in this last round of negotiations (which I don’t believe to be the case), management wants both offset and deferment language in the deal.

Or forces a trade. Chargers can’t afford to tie up that kind of money with zero production on the field. I can’t believe the Chargers are trying to pull this shit. No other team asks for this in their rookie contracts. I guess they just figure that the CBA fucks rookies, so a couple extra pumps will go unnoticed by

Yeah, no. That’s the reason.

White.

I don’t know who decided where new paragraphs start in this word vomit of a speech, but “that will be a horrible day” was in reference to his “joke.” It was clear as day, and so was his meaning. Just because someone tried to bury it in the middle of a paragraph doesn’t shed any light on his meaning.

According to Drumpf, the 2d Amendment people beating Hillary at the ballot box (and presumably catapulting him into the White House)and not with violence would be a “horrible day.” Bullshit!!! Don’t let anyone sell you this shit. It is impossible that he meant what his handlers are trying to say he meant. He said

CARGO DIEM, MOTHAFUCKAS!!!

I think it was Fitzgerald who said, “Using an exclamation point when you wright, is like laughing at your own joke.” I think of that when I read Drumpf’s tweets.

Still gets me.

Oh well, if you already know everything about the problem then I can see why you have no interest in looking deeper into the data. Good luck. I truly hope you are successful in correcting everyone’s rigid, traditional perceptions on gender roles. We’re counting on you.

I think we’re talking about two different things. You’ve identified the problem, which I agree with, but the problem isn’t going to solve itself. When you’re trying to change society, statistical data is a tremendous tool for understanding the motivations of subgroups. In the macro sense, the vast majority of

Ok well, let’s pound our fists and call people names until it changes. Of course the statistics speak to sexism!!! That’s my point. But at the end of the day, it’s just data. If it makes you “so uncomfortable” that you won’t analyze the data, you won’t be able to fix the problem.

Classic Strawman Troll. I didn’t say I only like women’s voices when they are comforting me. I just used that as an example when men statistically are less critical of the content of a woman’s words based on the pitch of her voice. The OP gave a better example of using a woman’s voice for GPS. Both of those are

Hmmm, I hadn’t made that connection.

Yes, and it’s situational. In some cases, a woman’s voice is preferable as more comforting and warm to man’s ears, e.g. a doctor or nurse to a patient.

No, not suggesting that. It’s obviously sexism. I just find it interesting that the sexism is tempered when the woman’s voice “sounds” more masculine. I mean, men know that it’s a woman commentator but the pitch of her voice actually affects men’s (statistically) opinions on the speakers content.

The higher pitch makes men anxious...has since puberty. It’s the same reason that the women sports broadcasters (not side line reporters) who are most successful tend to have a deeper voice.

Pogba did Mustafi so, so dirty.

I...so...I guess the point of the article is that this highly niche sports show doesn’t have broad spectrum appeal?? Just an FYI, I think you’ll be equally disinterested in the new docu-series on the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally on Discovery Channel.

Fall of the Berlin Wall.
