Haha, she does. Omg, St. Elmo’s Fire. I always remember the air conditioner scene where she locks herself in and it’s supposed to be all serious and I just can’t. Not knocking it though! It’s glorious in it’s 80s-ness.

No, she was back. I don’t know if she had been fully reinstated with her counselor duties, but she had her uniform on and was back at work.

Exactly. It’s especially weird because he’s not super duper famous, and in fact his lack of fame was a running joke between him and Marc the whole time. I’d hate to think what his viewpoint would be if he became Goop level rich! It was still a very interesting episode, but that part made me wince a little.

Whew. Ok good. I hate getting on someone’s bad side over spoilers. Yeah, it seemed like not too many of the details about the plotlines with the prison staff or the corporate takeover were mentioned in this post, which, fair enough. It’s not the most interesting stuff when compared to the inmates character

As someone who overthinks everything they say and is constantly afraid of being misinterpreted, I could see that. But if I did it for clarification it would be more like “On no, but not like that! I didn’t...did that sound wrong...I hope it came out right. Oh god, we’re on air aren’t we?!? Can we stop?! Can we

This is so much worse when the people who make it incorporates that myth as part of their personal narrative. This is what ‘New Blacks’ do, and it is the worst.

Yeah, musicians have to eat and take care of their families. Now, I get it when it’s someone who already has an ungodly amount of money because then it seems unecessary and a little too corporate shilling. But I agree that the argument is usually made by hipsters about indie bands like when Of Montreal let their song

Aw shit, I’m sorry. No one was spoiler alerting in the comments, so I thought this was a...spoiler safe zone since the whole post is one big spoiler haha? :)

No mention of Berdie Rogers, the only one working in the prison who was making a difference and wasn’t sleazy in any way? I’m guessing we probably won’t see her again though since all the guards mass quit at the end. :(

She’s so rad. I was trying to figure out where I knew her from, and then I remembered “Oh yeah! It’s Tank Girl! Badass!”

Oh no, don’t worry about it. It didn’t sound like you were saying that was an absolute or anything. It just sounded like you were speculating.

I have a younger sister, and sometimes it was nice having a buffer between me and my parents.

Yeah, I don’t know what the hell made that lady think that. It’s a weird argument.

Uugghh. My mom had some comparable circumstances to that as well at the time. She had me at 21 and was really not remotely financially stable enough to have another one even if she had wanted to do so. Not to mention she had nobody with which to have this hypothetical kid.

Same! I will never get that assumption. Like, do they think all single child families are from the exact same background? And do they think that background is rich, white, and entitled? Because that’s what I always picture when I think of “spoiled and selfish”. Rich kids who don’t earn anything they have or understand

Sorry you dealt with that crap too. And I agree that you can be socially anxious regardless of background. That’s partly why I added that “straight out of the womb part”. I really was how I was before nurture could influence much of anything. I’ve gotten better, but there are still situations I pretty much entirely

Ah, well that probably didn’t happen unfortunately. :( Maybe after a few years though? She was pretty godawful and incredibly clueless the years I went there though.

Oh she definitely did. :) She’s a pretty vocal, opinionated lady. That’s why I wish I could have witnessed it!

I had one child instead of two. Doing it wrong!

Can we shoot his stupid hat too?
