That comment by the twitter user was obviously hyperbole as well. Is your argument that you cannot make a joke about something when there is a greater threat out there? Can we not make fun of Ryan Lochte’s perceived douchiness when there are guys out there who are rapists and murderers? Or is your argument just that a

Wait what? Which reply did I edit?

To be honest, I’m kind of devastated Gawker won’t be around for the election. I feel like I’ve been with them through the trenches in terms of their coverage over the last year and a half, and I was very much looking forward to Nov. 8th on Gawker. NOW IT’S BEEN TAKEN FROM US :( :( :(

Wow—did you dismiss all my replies? :(

OK, “scary” and “hellish” as opposed to “perturbed.” There’s no reason you can’t have negative reactions to this though.

Seems like kind of a straw man. No one’s saying you can’t be horrified by the former and slightly perturbed by the latter.

My all time favorite movie. I went to film school cause of this damn movie.

Definitely not a good idea to denigrate the very popular president known as Barack Obama by calling him an Uncle Tom.

Is there a reason they’re running together? Like, did they plan on just being side by side the whole race?

Presumably, the “Gawker” name might be a little too tarnished after all that has happened.

Not to mention, he himself would not even be intelligent or savvy enough to recognize (and hire) people smarter than him. That he needs to hire people smarter than him. All that matters is their servitude and reverence. I doubt he has any sort of perceived understanding of anyone’s value apart from his own.

I hate the monolithic voting bloc as much as the next person, but I will have an overwhelming sense of pride in our community if we give Trump like <1% support come November. Fuck that orange sponge cake and “the blacks love me.”

I think that was sarcasm.

This is where I proudly own the stereotype “black don’t crack.”

He said something about this country being equal for all sexual orientations, too. That’s when I had to stop, I almost vomited. I was like...come on. LOOK AT THE FUCKING ROOM OF PEOPLE YOU’RE TALKING TO. Insulting beyond belief, like every prominent person at that convention hasn’t been working nonstop to strip rights

Presumably, if you’re busy now, you’ll also be busy throughout the summer/any given weekend.

Oh, come on. If you’re 25, the first book was published when you were 17/in high school (and the first movie when you were in college). You definitely are of the right age. You just missed the boat, unfortunately :(

How the hell does he fit under that table?

Serena was excellent. As was Kerber.

Yeah Kerber had her moments right up until the last game she was broken. It was a lazy game and she looked tired, missing shots she definitely should have. She had done well to withstand the Serena onslaught all the way up until then but I think that was her breaking point.
