I agree with the gist of your comment, but the pedant in me has to point out that only one ghibli movie (Howl’s moving castle) was based on a Diana Wynne Jones book. Other movies like Tales from Earthsea, Arrietty the Borrower and When Marnie was There were based on books by other female authors though.
First of all, this particular controversy is more about race issues than about feminism. Swift is in no way, shape or form an advocate for issues of race. I don’t think she’s ever even made a public comment on race before. Her being an advocate for feminism shouldn’t give her a blanket pass on all other social justice…
Those requirements just make no sense. Fruit snacks and peanut butter aren’t healthy? Potatoes have to be eaten with bread? Also what is with schools pushing milk on kids. The health benefits of milk are unsubstantiated and there’s also good evidence that it’s harmful. Also what about lactose intolerant kids?
This is why I set up a secondary email account that’s used solely for connecting to my financial accounts and password manager.
