I'm not seeing it. This thing looks gaudy as hell. Like it belongs on Long Island or the Jersey Shore.

Exactly. People need to stop worrying about scratches and just drive. That being said, I am like any normal car fan and keep my cars clean.

120 miles and you didn't cover the front of the car with painters tap? Amateur.

Doug, please, please, please say it's just the camera, but your back window looked a bit dirty.

Well shit. Thought they were getting the FX not a special MMX.

So being able to use it on a track and large horse power numbers are the requirements of M cars? My main point was that if they simply left it with an inline 6, I would find it more like an M car. I don't really consider the e90/92 M3 a true M car. Same goes for the e60 M5, any of the X_M's.

Better than an M car? No, because after 4 or 5 laps my oil temps were sky high and I had to take it easy. If I wanted to go through the effort of adding an oil cooler (amongst other things) then maybe. I merely was stating that it wasn't unreasonable to get M3 numbers from a N54 engine for far less cash than stuffing

Give BinderPlanet.com a shot. You'll most likely have much better luck than craigslist when dealing with people over a long distance.

What, you're butt hurt so now you've got to follow me around?

Look at any forum. A JB4 tune with minor additions is pretty standard to get from 350-400 wheel HP.

N54 (with turbos) is 413 lbs. S65 is 450 lbs.

Oh, no doubt it's more robust. But I'm more going along the lines of "If $1,500 will get you 90% of the way. Is it worth $15,000 for the extra 10%?" For my uses? No. If I was looking for a dedicated track car (and had more money)? Yes.

Throw in E85 and problem solved.

We've got different definitions for spectacular.

What makes them non-M cars? They basically had the same M88 pulled out of the M1 and stuck in the 5, 6 and 7-series.

How were those not M-cars? They clearly were.

Are you retarded. My '07 335i was putting out ~400 at the wheels. All I had on it was JB4 tune, BMW dual cone intakes, and 3" catless downpipes. Stop trying to correct shit you don't know. Oh, and I had to install a work-around for the OBD check because it would fail inspection.
