My #1 reason: Use Google Talk Video chat on Nexus S over 3G instead of just wifi.

The other option is to donate them to your local library. You don't get any money from it, but your books will get the widest readership and you get a tax deduction.

Awesome, it worked for me!!

@mrjackson: Instead of rsync, you could use CrashPlan for that. The software is free if you don't backup anything to the cloud.

One tip on INGDirect: If you don't have $50k to put in there, just open the savings account which is 1.1% rate with no minimum balance.

@FP_slomo788: Angry Birds is not free on iOS like on Android? Wow, that sucks.

I send the HD HomeRun for actual capture. You don't have to have open PCI slots on your PC, you put the thing next to your antenna in the attic (just run an Ethernet cable up there), etc etc.

So if this is open source, how long until Cyanogen comes out with a version I can load on my stand-alone HTPC (next to XBMC and Mythtv) and I don't have to buy a separate box for it?

Really nice tip, this works great!

Another vote for including SiliconDust's HD HomeRun. I can put it right next to my antenna (in the attic, say), and only run Ethernet cable out of it to my router. No need to open my computer. I can use it from either my Windows laptop or my MythTV HTPC.

You should mention that the games require a phone running Flash. So that part of the app is Froyo-only (although the rest will work on previous versions).

@KillerBee: IM is like SMS, but can be received by the other person on their phone or computer, instead of just phone.

I thought with T-Mobile you didn't get a warning, but instead they limit you to EDGE speeds instead of 3G when you hit the 5GB/month soft cap.

@dinalohan: Huge fan of boats here too. But like the old adage says, my two favorite days as a boat owner were the day I bought it and they day I sold it.

@Buster Friendly: Yeah, sorry. The original Gizmodo article said Wi-Fi only, no 3G. Now it says there's 3G. So it is an oversized iPhone.

@Buster Friendly: Both that headline and the one in this article should replace "iPhone" with "iPod Touch". This iMaxi doesn't have 3G, only Wi-Fi, so forget using it on the move.

@arungupta: So you will never go with T-Mobile service (ranked #2 by Consumer Reports, has twice the data speed of AT&T). I could understand if you then had said you'd only go with Verizon (#1), but lost you when you said you'd go with AT&T (worst provider in the country, per CR).

Is there something I need to set to make this happen? I'm running Chrome and I don't see it.

It depends on the lounge and the trip. If you're coming back from an overnight overseas flight, and have a few hours, the Continental lounge in Newark is totally worth it.
