There’s a big issue here that isn’t getting much play. This guy could not get a security clearance due to the reported issues, which were known when he was hired to the White House, and yet he was in a position where he handled classified information!

Trump probably genuinely thinks a government shutdown affects the military, because he’s a big dumb goddamn man baby. Congress on the other hand knows it does not, but likes the talking point, and knows no one will ever fact check it effectively.

I still can’t tell if he doesn’t realize that a shutdown doesn’t effect the military, or if he’s just committing to it at this point because he thinks “the dems hate the military” is a good sound bite.
