Some of us who are fans of the films don't keep updated as to what every person from the series is doing in between films. That's sort of the point of the films. If we did keep up with them in between why would need the films at all?

I agree. I was replying to the original posters dream of a "fan cut" essentially where someone might one day cut the films together and remove the repeat highlight reels each film starts out with. I wasn't suggesting that the films shouldn't have them.
Yeah I watched these thru 49 Up back to back and they do reuse a lot of the same "highlight" reels each time.
Shoot I wish I hadn't read that. Would've preferred not knowing that going in.
…or just Adventureland: The Series?
Ummm…. Wasn't The Jesus a pedophile or something in the original movie?
SNL is off this weekend so you & Trump are in the clear man
that's no rumor it says right up there in the article he will be.

Yeah that's him. Right around the time when Ferrell started on SNL Caponera was on some Comedy Central special (or maybe series) where comedians played cards and just joked around. That's where I first saw his impression and it was really really funny.
i think by "gigantic hit" they mean TBS shows it around the clock cause it's cheap to do and they make all the ad money during the airings.
yeah i remember that one.
I don't think Maron would've been been better or worse. Just same.
As great as Ferrell's impression is I always feel bad for John Caponera who does a great Caray impression and was doing it before Ferrell (I think 1991 is earliest I can remember seeing Caponera doing it.)
turning Lincoln on the $5 into Bill Murray is as old as the internet. But props, that is a very good drawing.
hahah that's so true. good point. Or when they bring on a character for example Jack had a brother on Three's Company and then after that one episode he was never mentioned or seen again.
I've lately tried to lay off bashing Lucas. He's done a bunch of stuff that easily calls for it. But at same time he's also the guy who gave us Star Wars and Indiana Jones in first place. Having said that, knowing he's not involved feels like a plus. Knowing the guy who wrote Kingdom of Crystal Skull is writing the…
Nothing better than reading a long article play-by-play of a sketch. Why not just publish a transcript next time?
