From a talent perspective, Wale is definitely one of the more creative MCs. He’s not only had really great songs where he showcases lyricism, cleverness, and depth. Two of his albums deputed at number one on Billboard and another debuted at number two.
It sounds like you’re judging his entire career on this single, toned down, family-friendly performance. Calling his music by-the-numbers or bland is simply inaccurate, even if you’re not a fan.
