“Bush doesn’t care about black people.” -Kanye West, 2005.

“I’m gonna bring everyone together! (by deporting, jailing, or killing dissenters)“

I know some think it’s a bit comical that Trump is (predictably) reneging his promises to his moron supporters that he’ll hire outsiders and “drain the swamp,” but you have to remember that anyone who voted for him never actually gave a shit about that. Hence why they also reelected the vast majority of incumbents.

To be fair, this whole series of events has been one unending nightmare.

We’re taking a giant goosestep forward.

Remember, Hillary wasn’t liberal enough. Either we want the perfect candidate or just blow it all to hell, apparently.

We need to stop using the term “family values.” There’s got to be something more accurate, like “retrograde hatred values.”

Eh, Trump voters will forget about that whole swamp thing soon enough, long as he keeps appointing right-wing snow flakes like this confederate bastard.

This is a nightmare for those who are worried about immigration. Jeff Sessions is extremely dangerous because he actually knows quite a lot about how the immigration system works, in minute details. He’s not a dumb man either. He knows exactly where to stick the knife.

Instead of taking one step forward we are taking 2500 steps back.

Sessions is, naturally, anti-abortion and opposed to marriage equality because of his deeply-held family values.

Look, another ancient white man dredged from the bottom of the swamp!

Sarandon is a microcosm of what went wrong with this election.

Can’t be said enough. Remember those Deadspin dudes complaining that they’ll hold their nose for Clinton but their votes in PA didn’t matter anyways? Yeah, about that...

This is why, in the final accounting, I’m still more upset about the third party voters than others who didn’t vote. That smugness, that insistence that their conscience or Hillary being a “warhawk” mattered more to them than Trump being Trump. Christ, the times I was told I was a “sheeple” because I didnt take

BTW, to show you just how important a single vote is in a system like our’s (winner-take-all, first past the post), my home state of Michigan is currently being decided by around 11,000 votes...out of 4.8 million. A single percentage point higher turnout in Detroit, a quarter of Jill Stein’s 51,420 voters in the

Sure, but Sarandon was part of a broader movement among the left that muddied the waters and helped turn Hillary into the “lesser of two evils.”

And just such blinding privilege! As a straight white American woman I am “safe” from Trump’s presidency, but my boyfriend, a DACA recipient, will most definitely lose his job come January and god forbid may actually get deported. Sarandon has nothing to lose, millions of others do.

She’s a decent enough stand in for the class of liberals who were motivated less by wanting to accomplish anything in particular this election, and more about the abstract idea of revolution and/or a singular visceral hatred of Hillary Clinton.

Susan Sarandon didn’t cost Hillary the election, and I hardly think most people are making that argument. But, fuck me alive if her behavior during the election wasn’t a flighty game of White Privilege Bingo.
