OMG! I am feeling this so much right now. My dream of a cute backyard wedding at my childhood home near the river has turned into a monster (to me). Too many people. My parents are happy and so is my fiancé. It’s not all about me, apparently ;)

That pilot light story seems a bit off. I work in the kitchen and our range pilot lights go off all the time. I mean, it’s part of the day - you spill a little water and it extinguishes the light. Or maybe the pilot is a little clogged and the wind from the hood causes it to go out.

I’m 19 and in Mexico for my brother’s wedding. My sister in law’s brother is the only one near my age for this small destination wedding. We are at an all inclusive resort, so everyone is taking full advantage of the flowing drinks and food. I am taking advantage of the new drinking age and freedom from my parents.
