Except Japan has FANTASTIC policies to support working mothers, working parents, and subsidies for childcare.

Manage it right into the ground. Because no country that has ever undertaken increased parental leave or even the Soviet Union which experimented with paying a “mothers salary” ever increased birthrates by buying off families. It does not work.

Immigrants were not the only people to have children until quite recently in human history. What is more, the birthrate among the so called “3rd world” is declining, and immigrant birthrates are going down as well globally.

So you see no problem with using poor countries as baby factories to support aging populations of wealthy ones? You see no potential pitfalls?

Nevermind that birthrates are going down for immigrant populations as well, you don’t see any problem with treating non-nationals as chattle to support an older population? You don’t think this could affect the politics of the country in such a way that would be to the detriment of both peoples?

So wealthy countries should depend on poor ones to provide workers forever and ever? And there is no danger, at all, in bringing in extra-national workers to take care of your older workers?

No, it isn’t. Low birthrate means a declining workforce means a declining GDP. Japan is going through this now, where despite oodles and oodles of “incentives” to get women to have kids, they are now faced with the prospect of a country that cannot support its elderly.

What exactly is so important and worthy that you are doing with your life otherwise”? You contribute so little to the world but your bullshit, and now we will have anarchy all because you think you should be bribed into doing what your ancestors did out of necessity. You fucking suck.

Except men NEVER had “a zillion other options to live life.” This is an entirely unsupported myth. Men had to work fields, men had to raise families, men had TONS of things to do that had nothing to do with “what they wanted to do.”

Ok, literally none of what you said has any actual grounding in facts. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, etc all have fantastic support for mothers and families, and Lithuania is probably the most gender eglatarian nation on earth. NONE of them have replacement level population birth rates.

Except government aid has never increased the birthrate. Ever. Norway, Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, France all have the policies you are referring to. The only one to come close to replacement was France, and only because of immigrant women.

Except the alternative has not produced any appreciable increase in birthrates, ever. If you exclude immigrant mothers France has a 1.5 birthrate, Britain is lower, so is Germany. Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Switzerland also have birthrates below the replacement rate.
