I was imagining cutting them lengthwise and peeling them and was really confused!

I think it has to do with how close it is to the word “masticate”, and because macerating is a chemical version of mashing, maybe?

This is totally embarrassing. I used to be a professional cook, but I thought “macerate” meant to mash up, as with a potato masher, until I read this article.

It seems like all they offer these days is a pantry shipping coupon. :/

I believe he was talking about roasting green coffee beans.

I’ll sit back down in my rocker in a moment, but I think it’s pretty disrespectful to play games in a damn cemetery. I would be ticked as hell if I was there for a loved one and some kid ran around hunting pokemon crap.

Rarely known fact, manga artists do not actually have faces. This sad fact is the reason faces in manga always look either beautiful or bizarre —- the artist is reflecting their yearning and self-loathing in turns.

As a scientist who spends a lot of time and money on my set up, I do have to say not everyone remembers basic safety features... until someone else points them out or you end up on the floor.

I just think “meh” and call over the dog ;)

Not necessarily how it works, but in practice, I do find that I have to have a more diverse lunch (or my “main” meal at lunch) in order to power through my workout at night.

I have pretty good results with making my lunch the “exciting” meal, and then letting dinner be a pretty standard veg-and-protein dish. I work out typically around 7pm, so, by the time I’m finished, I pretty much eat then conk out on the couch. Obviously, the intent is the same, I just find it easier to make my lunch

Would the spin class and running not count as cardiovascular?

So, beer?

I don’t know where you went to college, but, dang, college kids these days, for all that they are “broke”, have some pretty sweet stuff their parents gave them when they were still living at home ;)

I know some guys who buy cars to crash for testing purposes... I should ask them to buy for me! :)

They’re now back up to ~20$. I bought one about a year ago; I am not fussy about utensils, I just want them to work. A year later and the GIR spatula is the one I reach for ever single time. It just does what the company says —- gets it right!

Layering is the worst. I get it. Some layering can be cute. But, god bless America, I just want to put on ONE shirt and be able to leave the house without my bra lighting up like a neon sign.

I think the getting rid of clothing part is less about saving money, and more about streamlining. I wager that most (women especially) people have a lot more in their wardrobe than they really wear, and all that extra clothing is doing is taking up space.

I just sent back a package from them! I was a bit concerned given the quality of the fabric of the tees. Do they wash well?

That is a very good point. Unfortunately, us “bustier” ladies tend to look like lumberjacks in men’s shirts.
