Ah, makes sense, thanks! I was thinking they were some sort of court (i.e. tennis) shoe - but my English and Aussie friends call those “trainers,” so I was confused.

It’s always nice if a good owner can keep their animal, but if they take good measures to find it a good home, I can’t be mad at them. Too many people just leave them to their own right or throw them in shelters with no care of what happens. I mean, it’s how we got our dog and I’ll always be happy we get to have him.

Meryl is good at anything she wants to be.

Why do you respond to criticism at all? (Especially since it so clearly bothers you and gets deep under your skin?) In the world of professional writing, that’s a pretty huge no no. You let your critics criticize, and you keep your mouth shut, unless those criticisms are somehow actually damaging to you—because you alw

A friend of mine is incredibly tall and always put his height down at 6’9. He said he’s probably taller, but he constantly slouches. Finally measured while standing straight? He’s 6’11.

The amount of times I’ve seen people gawk and laugh at him makes my blood boil. Though I must admit, we do have a bit of a chuckle

Men and women both. I’m 5’10” and have never had a problem dating guys shorter than me - most of my exs are in the 5’7”-5’9” range. My first boyfriend ever said I looked “like a drag queen” when I wore high heels. I’ve had very petite co-workers express SHOCK and DISMAY that I was willing to date guys under 6’ because

It gets so much better when you get older! Tell her that. I hated being tall until I got to college and suddenly it wasn’t a big deal and people actually seemed to look at it as a somewhat positive thing. Also, I don’t know if she has any tall female family members, but my cousins are both super tall and because they

I am not even that tall – 5’8” – and sometimes get really frustrated that I couldn’t be a bit more petite. I know full well that being tall gives me tons of advantages – assumptions of competence & intelligence, fewer instances of assault and harassment – but it has some downsides.

5’11” and I have multiple pairs of beautiful heels I consistently talk myself out of wearing.

Husbands don't know great art when it jumps up & slaps them in the face.

My daughter ordered the same dress for a formal event. She’s 5’6” and 110 pounds - I think she ordered a size 0. She sent it back and ordered the next size up - her ass was still essentially hanging out. She usually wears short skirts, but this was insanely short. She texted me a picture and I almost died laughing.

It is SUPER short. I’m 5’8” and had to go up a size simply so it would reliably cover my bum; though wearing a bigger size kind of defeated the entire point of the dress (oversized lacey bags aren’t really my thing). I didn’t buy it because (a) my butt prefers to be covered in most situations, and (b) it’s $350!!

It’s eBay. The price has gone up. People bid on it. I don’t think she set the price.

This auction started at £0.01. It is now at £1,150.00. That is over $1,800 USD. For a dress that, really, looks like a very sad shirt made out of very pretty lace in the photos.

I dunnoooooo guys, this is not really worth it. I’m not even a comedian and I would have had a difficult time not saying something similar after a professional interviewer said the phrase “inside an 11 year old girl.” If anything he should be dinged for saying something so dumb. I didn’t see it as a joke so much as

and you talk to yourself.

“what do people see in this show?”

I don’t watch it but I’m almost certain that it isn’t actually his job, sadly. I was making a reference to... I want to say Behind Closed Ovens but I can’t actually remember where the coffee thermoses meme comes from.

Oh wow.

Yes, that’s exactly what I was saying this entire time that you took so much umbrage to.
