Great season, (mostly) great cast, great finale, horrible premise. I always appreciate it when there's no bitterness or mean-spirited players. I honestly would've been happy with any of the final six winning (well, maybe not Bret).

As a librarian, I'm happy to finally see Worldcat get utilized in an article on this site.
Although I had a few problems with Red Letter Media's recent Star Wars analysis, I've gotta say it did make me feel somewhat sympathetic towards Lucas, oddly enough…
Saw Rob Smigel interview him live at Patchogue Theatre. They discussed stuff that would probably get them kicked even further out of showbiz had anyone been recording. Then Norm did some readings from the book. As funny as the book is, it's so much better hearing it read out loud by him. I would suggest getting…
Didn't you get the memo, Nathan? It's not cool to analyze Lucas and Star Wars anymore. Or any movie that is over 10 months old, lest you want a snarky article written about you on this very website: http://www.avclub.com/artic…

Speaking of which, today is Jimmy Carter's birthday.
I see obnoxious billboards for this show all over NYC. They use the image from near the top of this page - the one of him leaping from an exploding helicopter with a self-satisfied look on his face. The show should be called SMUGyver, amirite?
I'm not an Opie & Anthony fan by any stretch of the imagination but they did have a pretty good/awkward interview with Tucker Max where they called him out on his bullshit stories: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
As others have pointed out, "Erik the Viking" was directed by Terry Jones, not Gilliam.
Garfield was possibly the only president we've had who wasn't in some way a power-hungry egomaniac, so of course he got shot and died a long, painful death. Here's a fingerstyle guitar instrumental tribute that I made for this great man: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
