When Robby Gordon put together his spec buy-in series, he at least had the wherewithal to make the vehicles (Stadium Super Trucks) look really cool and like a “finished” race vehicle.

I’d argue this is far worse.

It seems that at this point some people would rather default to being butthurt than do any critical thinking or research. I wonder how many of the people who thought this might be a slight against America or the flag own apparel or bumper stickers that DO in fact infract upon the flag code?

I hope this doesn’t give the ACO the fuel it needs to take their ball and screw over & run away from IMSA again(again). This is awesome news, but I’m wary.

Around the 2000's time frame I saw an IMSA race at Road Atlanta and watched Ferrari 333SP lapping from the stands in turn 1, which is a right hand climbing turn slightly back to the left. That meant I got to hear the absolutely glorious music of that V12 in full song. It was magical.

I guess they did technically at one point right? But not the modern hybrids.

You’re not going to hold anyone’s interest if it takes almost 12 hours to complete an event.

I haven’t been to many NASCAR races in person, but the ones I have been to are filled up on the infield on race day. It’s a lot of car trailers, semis, team buses, support trucks, etc.

Isn’t the Daytona road course usually packed with spectator campers under normal circumstances?
