@kpetree10: I've gotten the opposite response on my Challenger R/T. "Is that the top model?" No, there's an SRT-8 with 50 more HP. "Well why didn't you get that?"

@disconova: What? That's a shoe-in for index of effluency!

@LTDScott: I can't see the photo (thanks, IT policy guys!) but the Buick 3.0L V6 is only slightly less deserving than the GM diesels of the same era, and in fact was the engine I nominated.

@DrunkenMessiah: For perspective, 200 HP was a respectable number when the 2.7L was introduced in the 2nd-generation LH cars. I'll grant the torque curve (the allpar page I linked has torque charts, and it's a peakier curve than the 3.3L it replaced), and can't comment on the maintenance or noise since I've never

@ptownant: Ok I've gotta ask what you're smoking. After 191,000 miles of hooning, dragging a big ol' '96 T-bird around, my 4.6 has never needed to have the valve covers or oil pan off.

Buick. 3.0L. V6.

@mdensch: The last one came off the line on the 9th of July, so yeah we're too late.

One thing I was trying to figure out is where the plainclothesman in the Malibu came from. After watching the video a few times it looks like he's the driver in the left lane when Gruber catches up to the bus and has a front-row view of the hoonery. His subsequent actions are inexcusable but I can understand why

@Skreenname: What's old is new again. Thunderbirds and Cougars had sequential turn signals back in the '60's-'70's, and now the 2010+ Mustang (and maybe some of the '05-'09?) have it too.

When I was in high school and me and my dad were diagnosing an electrical problem on my '73 Cougar, we found a neat little hammer stuck somewhere in the engine bay (Dad was under the hood and I was in the car watching the amps gauge). I doubt it was OEM, the car was 22 years old at the time. Our problem turned out

@Demon-Xanth: Dodge trucks seem to do that to people... I quit participating in a Dakota board not long after I got my '05 and it became clear that the large '97-'04 contingent wasn't interested in being helpful.

@LoganSix: That explains a lot about the new Camaro.

@Dan122186: These guys are at it again!

@Alfisted: Tire inflator kits with sealant that kills the TPMS sensor (a subject in itself)

@OOglebooze: Coke (zero)-laden is a good description of my monitor now. Heart-click.

@onlysix: Mmm, Whataburger. I spent 3 months in TX, and while overall I like my frozen tundra better, I do miss the restaurants. (That, and the young ladies.)
