This is all about how costs have changed. I still know people that want the fully loaded luxury car for under 20k. They are shocked when they find out what it really costs.
Or you just not buy it if you don’t want it? :)
That is interesting and maybe an idea for a automotive website (hint hint). “What can $500 get you by region?” Around me $500 will get you a non-runner or will not pass inspection if it can move. Typically will need 1500 to 2000 worth of work to be on the road again.
Like the new name.
Or a brown Miata.
While not a daily for me, it would be more than a Weekend cruiser. Maybe a couple times a week just for the heck of it? These are meant to be on the road, not in a climate controlled garage and in dark so your eyeballs absorbing it’s light doesn’t somehow devalue it.
My mind went there. Now there is story— It‘s not a fart joke it’s......
I appreciated the fart joke :) I had (may still have one of those Segas) for a bit. The joysticks hurt when used for too long. Need to work more on my hoard of stuff while I am stuck here. The kids next door appreciated the Tonka Construction yard suddenly appearing.
Then I saw this on the link. Conflicted.
This is one the rare moments were Miata is the answer. Small, stick, hard/softtop options, easy to park, etc. Well under budget to boot.
We are WFH for rest of the year at least. Since my work is technical and computer in nature, it is a good fit.
The only time autobreaking helped me was in a parking lot when a kid suddenly broke free. I saw the blur and as my foot was going to the brake, the car stopped.
I am hoping things go well. This is why when my work said “You don’t have to WFH you can....” “Let me stop you there.”
Neutral: Going well. I am now at moderate drinking and other vices phase. After a long week, I have been finding myself sitting in the yard with two fingers of Bourbon and a cigar. Great time to reflect on what is good in my life and as I look at the house realize the work I have yet to start.
I throw this in the why the hell not bucket. It needs repairs but not in the “No Lowballerz! I know what I got!” price range.
While not born there, I followed by parents to Berlin for my father’s Army tours. Back when it was a walled city. You would think I could speak more after 6 years. Nope.
My God, he cracked the code!!! We have one that can see!!!
This is why boneyards depressed me. I was glad to save a few bucks, then I would see something just didn’t look like it belonged.
Nice. I need to ramp up my shitty product facility.
