Congrats on living the dream many of us wish we could have. I enjoyed the smile as you said “It’s fine, just some rust”. In a way you are living the Italian collector car lifestyle, “With this many one of them has to start.”

It may be able to stop itself, which means a boring video. :)
For how it is presented the price is acceptable for a daily driver with some work. Even if you had to junk the powertrain, it is not a huge deal to wedge something in there.
I would say I am surprised by this turn of events, but I am not.
The price is a good starting point here. This would be a good weekend dump runner and hardware store trip truck.
Not a bad price for a 2nd vehicle or winter car. Cheap enough to drive daily, what appears to be minor cosmetic issues, and being able to tell the officer “I don’t how fast I was going, the speedo broke”. Though that last one could end up as another ticket.
My parents had one of these and was part of the reason I added a DTS to my fleet. After spending multiple 12 hour drives piloting this couch on wheels with no ill effects, under 4 grand is a good price.
I would have gotten one right. This reminded of Airplane 2:
A Lamborghini face mask? Does it catch fire at the first sign of trouble?
While there are rules to follow, there is this thing called extreme circumstances. If a pandemic doesn’t qualify, then the HOA needs to re-evaluate. As some has mentioned a conversation: “Why RV? You know that is not allowed” “I am nurse trying to avoid passing this virus” “Kay, thanks, bye”.
My first thought ->
The Project Manager who is a Agile believer would hold countless SCRUMS and Sprint meetings in order to somehow solve this problem is 2 sprints and in the end declare the issue smashed and now it is Substainings problem.
This is one of those you “You did it? Wow, great” things. Calling it a Yugo is like calling Ken Block’s car a Mustang (which I think is awesome). Sure it has some of the panels, but really it is wearing a Yugo hat. Even if you dropped a zero, I don’t know if I would want it.
*HOA SPEWING HATE RANT*
Ummm...thanks?
I second the notion this should be what car should we buy for you.
The lack of interior or underside shots kills it for me. 15k if all is intact. I can see in the window the top of seat, that is something. And intact doesn’t mean perfect, it means there and bolted to something other that rust with a bit of metal. The 15k is a good price for the start of a restoration or update,…
I wonder if there is a market for key parts, ie used in multiple lines. Typically it is worth more in pieces when the whole thing. Plus to a thief, spending 3 hours to make 20 makes sense since they are not working for THE MAN!
The home “shop” option is a good one and was bantered around for some items like windshields, mobile detailing, new tires. Mostly it is a question of room. My driveway is long and wide enough. I can see that for routine maintenance items.
By the end of the movie kit:
