Memory leaks are a pretty common category of bugs. I don’t think you can necessarily put that down to using an “old” engine, they can have all kinds of causes. More likely to be caused by new code than old code.

I work on proprietary, in-house game engines for a living. The company I currently work for has been using the “same” engine for more than 15 years.

I remember a mod for Unreal Tournament that did that.

This is kind of sad.

I haven’t played any of the DLC or any of the extra content they’ve added. I was planning on playing it all through again when it’s all done. I guess that will be sooner than I expected.

So have a lot of people. That’s probably why they cancelled the upcoming DLC.

Metal Gear Solid could probably fit into that category. A lot of stuff from Metal Gear 2 is repeated in MGS.

Could be you’ve found a nest? There’s a hidden mechanic where Pokemon “nest” in parks. Every two weeks a different species will start nesting there. So you’ll see a whole load of one particular species spawning there, often one that’s usually quite rare.

There’s a bug where for some people they appear as Kecleon instead, which as of yet has not been released in Pokemon Go.

Buying them individually is still an option.

My UK one didn’t.

I think the point is there may be brand new features, just not ones that are directly visible to the user.

I’m sure I’ve seen an interview where someone from SE said basically the same thing about the PC/Mobile ports of V and VI. They seemed surprised that people would prefer the old graphics to the new and ‘improved’ graphics.

I started with H’aanit in the demo too, and it put me right off. It is really distracting because it’s so obviously wrong.

However there are plenty of acronyms where you do pronounce it as if it were a word, like NASA or NATO.

In American English. In British English it’s commonly called the nezz. So admittedly us British were wrong about the proper pronunciation too.

Do you know anyone who might be able to give her informal lessons? That’s what my parents did for me.

What incentive do they even have to finish the game into a releasable state? If the money is still rolling in, they are getting paid, so if they can continue to make more money by giving non-legally binding promises of delivering features at some unspecified time in the future they have no incentive to ever stop and

I think I’ll wait for some full reviews before buying this. So far neither the original demo or the new one have hooked me. So far I’m not certain I want to invest my time and money into it.

I think it could work by each character’s story having certain scenes where there are roles which can be filled by whatever characters you have in your party. For example say there’s a scene where the main character (for that chapter) is up at night worrying about something and confides in another character.
