A sequel to Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode released on the NES in 1990 but it’s not obvious since Golgo 13 isn’t in the title, at least not in North America. The original title is Golgo 13: The Riddle of Icarus but in the U.S. it was changed to The Mafat Conspiracy.

Actually, I believe all the characters lose their clothing when inside the robots. I played the first hour and during the tutorial the female is alarmed that she is naked while piloting. I don’t think they physically remove their clothes, they just sort of teleport in and the clothes disappear I guess.

I only have a couple tall PlayStation cases though neither looks like those. I’ve got NBA Jam T.E. in a case that looks identical to a Sega CD one and then I’ve got A-Train in a case that’s the same size but it’s all cardboard.

The article only mentions Japan but it did release on the same day in the U.S. eShop and is now gone there too. This game released on iOS and Android last August as well, though I’ve no idea if it has the same music.
