it's at an even 50/50 as I look at the moment, there are positive reviews.

I enjoyed ROTOR, I've sat through much worse (Troy for example!), kinda funny but goes to show, it's all personal taste. Agreed ROTOR is ridiculous and inept, but was an enjoyable watch with my friends.
This is like saying Airplane! is an intentionally bad film. It's reductive, and seems to be not really critiquing the style of comedy for what it is. Maybe it's just not your style of humor?
Grindhouse is genuinely good, as is Hobo with a Shotgun. Maybe the inherent tone and style just isn't up your alley to begin with.
I saw some article linked a bit ago saying how enjoying B-movies means you're probably smart! I like this.
On the contrary, you probably will see some genuine merit in it that the reviewer did not. Didn't sound like it was potentially even up the reviewer's alley anyway.
That film honors Point Break, and Point Break got a horrific looking remake, so the Hot Fuzz remake could have them honoring the Point Break remake!
Turned shit just because this reviewer didn't like it?
There should be a disclaimer on this review, whether or not he has seen and enjoyed Hobo With A Shotgun or Toxic Avenger. As is, sounds like say a folk metal album review from somebody who thinks folk is boring and metal is dumb.
I think that's part of the joke. Judge Dredd is the best by the way, incredible that John Wagner and Carlos are still on it all these decades later, and haven't lost a step.
This is pulpy low budget action comedy satire, looks more for a fan of something like Hobo with a Shotgun. Looks to me like it has a lot more charm and creativity behind it than that Robocop remake.
It probably is still fun, this would be like writing off Friday the 13th movies because Ebert hated them. (I love Ebert, but I also love me some Jason)
"2 out of 3 ain't bad" as Meat Loaf sings. I love Chappie!
Entourage is a triumphant and hilarious movie, Kevin Dillon's performance as Johnny Drama is a gift! In general it was a delight seeing this with my friends. Ditto on Ari Gold of course, still a powerhouse. An underdog of a film.
I think Daddario's rack is real yes, but we are in an age of scrutiny on that subject rightfully so. But as an official expert I do say those are natural, perky as they may be
On that snippy line about boobs I say hey snooty author of the article, boobs are ART, how dare ye
