Yes, adding new modes, mechanics, reworking UI and stuff, yes, can lead to a “fix a thing, break two more” situation (and several hours of QA). But simply adding a new model is not that big of a deal, considering even amateur modders do that in pretty much every PC game.

Not really, but funny enough, if I can choose my avatar, I usually play female if I like the design (as in, armors and customization options). My female Hunter in Destiny 2 was the shit! But I usually play the game if the gameplay/story/mechanics are good, even if the MC is a bald white dude.

I don’t remember playing many games as a 5'5" mexican, but that never has stopped me before. Usually if there are customization options (like in Dark souls and such) I go wild when creating my characters, so I don’t really mind this kind of stuff.
