It wasn’t that long ago that paying full invoice price was seen as getting ripped off.

ND mostly due to price. It’s ugly in a charming way, looks like it would be fun to drive. But unless I just wanted a 1970s BMW hatchback for some reason there are tons of other used hatchbacks on the market that are much cheaper while being better in almost every way.

I think about 250 HP is a good number, enough to have fun and allows for safer passing on the highway but it’s not too crazy.

The Mercedes probably half-rusted because the rusty half was in a damp shady area wherever the car was parked.

I’m a sucker for rally cars and even though this one isn’t, I’m going to NP it. But I wouldn’t pay $20,000 for it, I’d go look at it and haggle.

I’m one of those crazy people that would rather take my chances without airbags. If I get into a minor accident I don’t need explosive shrapnel in the face to worry about.

And the new van should be a quirky econobox, not a $60,000 elitist vehicle.

If the car is as original as they said, and just needs a good cleaning, NP. I sold a pristine 1991 Mustang GT for $8000 12 years ago, so $10,500 for this isn’t bad.

This looks nice.  Except the price.  And it’s a big one, over $70,000.

Went to a Bucees once, it was quite a spectacle but I don’t think it’s an efficient stop unless you want to kill some time.

Probably not going to happen. Even when manuals are available, they are often only for the lower-power engine.

Any car that’s tailgating me and the driver has one hand at 12 o’clock and one holding their phone that they keep checking over and over.

Anything less than 25 years old. All Mustangs, Camaros, and Chevelles are way overdone by now. I like them, but I don’t need to see so many in every car show. Restomods, nothing disappoints me more than looking in the cabin of a classic car and seeing modern seats and gauges. I want to see the original vinyl seats,

Let the MAGAs drive Chevys and Dodges. Be cool Ford.

NP, but I’m scared of future repair bills.

Regarding exhausts you can hear inside but not outside, I think the Focus ST does a good job of this. It has a “sound symposer” which pipes a nice little growl into the cabin. It’s sorta fake, sorta real, some people hate them but I like mine. But I think the car, in stock form, is a lot quieter outside.

Yes, this. I suspect if he kept the RPMs low nobody would have a problem with a quite burble. He was probably revving and popping. My stock Honda motorcycle is very quiet at low RPMs, but full throttle it’s loud. I can control that.

ND, it’s neat this is still around but most everything else...no.

GM is completely nuts if they think modern buyers will pay a monthly fee to use apps on their car screen.
