So is this clock actually more accurate? The description sounds like it's just a "regular" caesium clock, which happens to be more accurate when it's not affected by gravity.

@bgbop151: As long as you scream "SPOILER ALERT" before you tell everyone the ending, you should be fine.

He may be from Canada, but he's not our treasure. You Americans can keep him.

@Jeb_Hoge: I think we might be talking about two different things. The original complaint was that volume had levels (1, 2, ..., 11) but really should just be a smooth transition with infinitely small increments. But for the radio, I think these "levels" are a good thing (101.3, 101.5, 101.7, etc), because tuning to

@mordicai: The second is the duration of 9,192,631,770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the caesium 133 atom.

@NaraVara: I understand the volume rant, but car radios? I hate having to turn the dial and get it precisely on the right amplitude/frequency. There's just so much in between, and unless you want to listen to two signals at once, having it go up by set intervals is much nicer.

@Hyperkulturemia: And what exactly is wrong with telling a story at an intellectual level?

@Magnus357: It's not the largeness of the votes that makes it difficult, it's the complexity. He's saying that during the federal election, in Canada, we just vote for one person. We don't tie in the elections for everyone else (state officials, mayors, whatever - I don't know who you actually vote for) at the same

@Poop Cooper: I think I heard somewhere that they were about halfway through filming when they replaced him. So it's probably a lot more footage than that.

@Magnus357: Which means that you have an ORDER OF MAGNITUDE larger number of people to count the votes. The ridings in Canada are determined by population. There is about the same number of people voting in each riding. It doesn't matter how many people there are.

This might just be the best tip ever.

@eien: Health care itself was losing money, but the economy and country as a whole was completely fine. There was deficit at all.

@Brak: That wouldn't work, or at the very best, it would be extremely impractical.

@MrGOH: Double black hole all the way!

@LovelyHue: I haven't actually seen it yet, but I'd assume that even if they didn't understand it, the people watching for a second time still thought it was pretty good.

@P_Smith: It also has the disadvantage of needing to be downloaded, and not available immediately from any device.

@eien: Not sustainable?

@nutnics: If you're going to be all sciencey, I must point out that things do, in fact, weigh more when they're closer to the centre of the Earth. Their mass remains constant, but their weight increases.
