Always happy to see more options for recycling, especially pesky plastics. Now how about those bubble-wrap infused manilla envelopes Amazon and others like to send purchases in?

Definitely common within the Boomer crowd and even among some of the Gen Xers and aging Millenials. I wonder if it may have to do with age and or influence from older individuals.

I’m a terrible conversationalist in new crowds and feel particularly boring (moreso disengaged) when networking with peers in my line of work (not my coworkers). Most are a generation or two older, borderline alcoholics, and/or DGAF. The last thing they want to talk about are work-related topics.

I had an aloe plant that we didn’t directly water for two years. It sat in the counter space between the kitchen sink & window and flourished. I had to re-pot it a couple months ago because all the offspring were beginning to choke it out.

2009 2.8T manual XWD wagons are casually joked as a Turbo X in any color of your choice. They are difficult to find in decent condition (if at all) and command a premium when they do pop up. The same car in V6 trim would be snatched up in a heartbeat at a minimum of $10k. Most are listed for at least 12k with similar

A knock-off Tech 2, some basic tools, a bit of resourcefulness (ordering parts off the internet, mostly), and a DIY attitude go a long way with these cars if you don’t have a Saab-friendly indy or service center near you.

JZW is defunct - no longer in the tuning business from what I can tell. He had some ECU flashing tools, but I never saw him post about an XWD controller. Not even on the Trionic forums he used to frequent.

I paid a similar price for a 2011 XWD sedan with 6spd manual with slightly more miles, so my vote may be biased. I’m leaning more toward NP. Saab only sold 48 manual XWD wagons in 2009 (stateside) and other than surface rust on some suspension components, along with a few nitpicking points, it looks to be a solid buy

Orio (prouncounced Oh-RIO apparently) bought out the remaining inventory from Saab a number of years ago. I’m on my second NG93 (same generation as the wagon mentioned above) and haven’t had much difficulty finding parts. eSaabparts & eEuro are the top two sellers of OEM and aftermarket replacements.

Saab’s XWD is actually a tweaked version of Haldex’s Gen 4 system. Add in the electronic rear diff - which this 2009 is sadly not optioned with - and it’s great.

Don’t do this if you’ve been entertaining the idea of buying in on an Airbnb location. Bad things can happen.

I’m not sure what effort or whose germ issues you’re referring to?

People in Japan wear masks as a common courtesy to not spread germs in public if they are ill, more likely to spread germs (seasonal allergies), or immuno-compromised. I wish more individuals would take that kind of responsibility and preventative behavior. Instead we have grown ass adults spreading germs onto anyone

Some countries - Japan comes to mind - don’t have paper towels or sometimes even hand dryers in several of their bathrooms. A lot of the women (and likely men) carry a small hand towel or handkerchief for drying their hands after washing and/or using as napkins while eating. It’s a rather resourceful and positive way

First

First the microbrewies and their canning materials. And now my avocado toast?!

The panhandlers. My city (and surrounding metro area) has recently been a highlighted target for panhandling on all the forums, etc. It makes sense too: lower cost of living, higher medium household income (compared to the rest of the state), and is a big part of the Bible Belt. Pious individuals that won’t tip at

I think I’ll stick with cutting meat out of other meals and going with the real deal for hamburgers. Although a healthy-sized marinated Portobello slice isn’t a bad option either.

I’ve somewhat embraced this lately. I’m now the first one in to the office and have had a number of lunchtime webinars lately (thanks, PST web leaders). So I start with a lighter breakfast like a small bowl of oatmeal when I get to work around 8am, and move on to a simple homemade smoothie around 11am, then eat a

Arkansan here. It’s not all backwoods hillbillies and barefoot rednecks - at least not in the NW corner of the state.
