The most offensive piece to me in that entire article was the idea that calling what they were doing “adult education” would somehow denigrate the process. That sounds pretty damn classist to me.
I posted a piece on social media a few weeks ago about millennials in Portland, ME who are taking classes at craft breweries about how to manage their money. The piece included this quote: “This is hip. I am going to cool bars I would go to anyway.” I treated the piece with disdain, including a “damned millennials and…

The American Indian College Fund always needs help, too.
Most of the responses I’ve seen have been of the “he’s so smart, he’s saying he won’t prosecute so Obama can’t pardon her, but when he’s in the White House, he’ll prosecute the hell out of her!” or “he will prosecute the Clinton Foundation!” These people are delusional.

My college roommate: “Seriously? You buy all that woo?”
Me: “Fuck no. But I sure as hell am going to pay someone to massage my feet for an hour.”
Even worse than that: apparently, it’s all our fault for wanting folks to be treated respectfully and with compassion regardless of if they’re a gay or have blood coming out of their wherevers.
From Salena Zito in the Washington Post:
Did you watch the BBC doc on Kate? It’s probably still on YouTube (I can’t search, as I’m at work). It’s worth a watch.
Funny you should say that: English Settlement was the album I put on when I came home last night. Seriously.
Thank you. I’ve been doing it for more than 15 years, and I still love it every damn day.
God, I love Kate Bush.
Curie, I don’t know if you’ll even see this reply, but a colleague sent out this piece from HuffPo yesterday. It’s pretty spot on.
