Why hasn't anyone come up with this before?

Get rid of a scanner? How exactly am I supposed to convert my paper books to ebooks? Typing? Or am I supposed to use voice recognition? And I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not too good at drawing to redoing pictures in paintbrush isn't an option.

Manscraping is more like it.

What amazes me about Microshaft's greed is how it blinds them to opportunity.

Within months of buying my current printer (Lexmark, print/scan/copy) I was getting "cartridge empty" when I put in a new one, and that was only the third ink pot I ever put into it. Since then, I judge whether it's out of ink by when the printed color doesn't look the same as the screen.

I've never seen "needle" like pens as in the picture, or maybe the person is just using a refill intended for a ballpoint. If it's a proper pen great, but I wouldn't want to carry around something that might leak ink.

A $200 portable is what Asus first promised and failed to deliver. I'll believe it when I see it.

All of the reasons to buy newspapers no longer exist for me.

@Alex7575: Why isn't this part of Windows altogether?

While it's a great idea, when I gave it a try it ignored many of my selections, including price, manufacturer, and even type of car. The site would be of great value if it actually does what it claims to do.

7zip sucks not because of how it works, but because it creates a proprietary format that is incompatible with other archivers. Too many sites distributing software arrogantly offer archives only in the 7zip format.

@dawnshadow: I won't repeat myself from last week (see the link), but why assume that I don't know about DOS Box or that I haven't tried it?

I use Windows reluctantly and am the slowest migrator ever. Despite having legal copies of the OS that came with new machines, I didn't use them until hardware compatibility forced me to switch.

My room at work is immaculate. My home is a pigsty.

That's probably the most useful post I've seen on this site in ages. And I'm not being sarcastic.

Those on the site talk about download volume slowing them down, yet they only offer OO3 with the Java Runtime installer. Why not solve the problem by providing a lighter version to download?
