@fuchikoma: I first got a Platinum right off the shelf new (then a used Pearl and Diamond) . Got both HGSS just to get my hands on the legendaries available by cross-trading pokemon.

Hmmm...The anime/manga-style ones look a little more smooth and sharp, the cartoon-style seems to be a bit more ragged-edged and grainy/gritty textured.

@Torokun: I think except for the odd trip out to visit friends or engage in some big water pokemon battle thing, most she the leader of the Celadon Gym, while her sisters leave her all alone, to hold up the Gym all by herself, while THEY take trips around the world.

My problem with it is that not everyone seems to realize or accept that "there is a time and place for everything". That kind of thing is okay among friends and family. At work? Not so much.

Hmm..Interesting. Looks like the Pokemon players found the cool, sleek, silvery lines of Lugia more to their liking than the bright, fiery feathers of Ho-Oh.

Y'know, I just took a look at that 3D vid piece on YouTube. Honestly? It's a nice idea, but REALLY looking at that vid, I'm kinda NOT looking forward to seeing that.

Oh, shoot. Was just taking a second look at the pics. By the looks of them, they're not letting your pokemon out of their ball to follow you around any more. And, I was so liking having my lead pokemon trail me around.

@gamesRcool: Oh, yeahhhh. I so totally regularly haunt that place. If you Google: Pokemon World Map, there's actually one or two others that'll show up. One's even, I think it's called a topographical map. I do like Serebii's the best though.

Wonder if Nintendo or Game Freak will ever put out an offical World Map? They have official region maps, yeah, but no official Wold Map so far. Love to see how all the regions REALLY are in relation to each other. Would be interesting to see where this new area actually sits.
