Oh I know why the Sanders campaign narrative asserts they don’t want Bernie Sanders to win. Problem is that it’s not rooted in any actual facts to support that assertion.

This might be totally tinfoil hat, but I feel suspicious that someone leaked that conversation to force Warren to comment and damage her, knowing how sexism will lead many to doubt her.

I’m seeing the same. It's so disheartening.

I’ve literally had my other Leftist Circle Jerk group go apeshit today, at first saying that the Sanders call-sheet thing was “normal campaigning,” and blaming a “low-level staffer” — but then the CNN report about this meeting from “sources” was Warren’s fault (personally) and she was “desperate” and “playing dirty.”

It’s exhausting really.  In the zeal to run interference for Sanders; they are gaslighting us about sexism.

Nah...not having it with Bernie love on here today. I’m actually somewhat surprised at myself for being so vitriolic against him today, but these two instances are right in line with not only 2016 and Hillary, but what his staffers and aides have been doing to Warren this cycle. I’m not talking about writing it off as

It’s telling that you would pivot to Joe Biden.

I’m sure in your world that’s very condemning. How many brown bodies did arguing against voting for Hillary save? How many will painting Warren with the same brush save now?

“It matters to people”

In the world where that candidate (a) is 78 years old, (b) has a heart condition, (c) caps off a period of months that his polling numbers had been foundering with a proper heart attack, (d) sees a rival candidate with a nearly identical platform to his rising higher than he had risen at any point over the campaign

I’m all in for Warren through the primary. If she doesn’t get it, then I’m all in for whoever does. I do hope it’s her though. Warren/Castro 2020!!

As I said, not all Bernie supporters.

The biggest problem with the “Bernie would have won” lament is not that it’s based almost entirely on magical thinking (although it is). The problem is that it was a narrative the Sanders campaign decided to amplify the moment he lost California and, therefore, any rational or reasonable argument for remaining in the

Bernie Bros* terrify me. I’m afraid that they will react in the exact same way this time if their messiah fails again to nab the nomination. That they will stay home, vote third party, or vote Trump. Because, really, how have they been harmed by the shitshow of the Trump administration? They’ll scream online again

Maybe I’m misinterpreting their expressions but to me they don’t look terrified. They look solemn and resolute, which is reasonable. Imagine if they showed any kind of pleasure in that moment—it would be used against them and the Dems in general in a heartbeat. Neutral is critical to their optics, and as women who’ve

You are getting “impeachment” mixed up with “conviction”.  The House impeaches; the senate holds the trial and votes for conviction and the sentence (i.e. removal from office or censure).  So yeah, he will be impeached in the House but not convicted in the senate, because you need 2/3 majority in the senate to vote

Honestly, this comes across as the words of somebody who doesn’t live or work in a red or even warm blue district. The reality Nancy Pelosi is familiar with that I genuinely get the sense that most progressives don’t understand is that most of the biggest wins in 2018 were moderate Democrats winning red districts.

She’s the first Democratic presidential candidate in the 70+ category to release details of her health. “There are no medical conditions or health problems that would keep her from fulfilling the duties of the President of the United States,” Woo wrote.

See the rest of my comment for my answer to that question, which is that, specifically, as bad as Clinton’s Iraq War vote was, people who didn’t vote at all as a result of it are shortsighted, stupid and/or incredibly privileged, and they can all go LITERALLY GET FUCKED WITH A RUSTY GARDEN RAKE.

No matter how you look at it, when the president is acquitted (and he is going to be acquitted), it is going to be demoralizing as hell for us and energizing as hell for them.
