I don’t think we are going back to Skyward Sword-levels of linearity soon, at least not with the sequel of one of the most acclaimed “open world” games out there, but I do expect to see more structure this time around.

I mean, fair. We all know that Microsoft is able to do the “Day 1" launch because they have more money than God to burn.
yeah, I went with Astrologer for this playthrough (I have only played Dark Souls before, and I went with a Knight then, so I figured I tried something else), and just throwing Rock Sling at Godrick while two other people kicked his ass in close range was a little OP. But then again, after going through Stormveil, it…
as my visit to Stormveil coincided with the patch, I genuinely thought it was a glitch and thought nothing of the missing runes. I wish I was paying more attention hahaha.
dang, we are gonna miss troves of entertaining debate around “BotW2 vs. Elden Ring”.
c’mon, we are nowhere near to Duke Nukem Forever... yet.
I also found a “hound” that was basically Voldo from Soulcalibur. I stone him to death, seemed the kind thing to do.
It needs a spell/weapon wheel of some sort, the UI is garbage, and selecting a spell in the middle of combat sucks.
“...and then took out the boss in that mini dungeon (cat statue with a sword).”
I’m not going to debate Dread (the game does ask a little too much of the player sometimes), but what was wrong with LA?
you have never seen me after a sixpack of Coors Lights.
that’s how I killed the Capra Demon. You can throw him stuff from outside his arena at just the right angle, ideally firmebombs and the like, but I was just too poor, so dung pies had to do.
yeah, this is exaggerated, but Theme parks work this way too.
I feel free to add a couple more of personal recommendations from this wonderful bundle:
man, don’t understimate my laziness.
As a console gamer that has always struggled to be comfortable playing games in a PC environment (I work all day in a computer, and I really don’t want to stay at my desk to play something) , I must say that the Steam Deck is very, very appealing.
original / sequel / limited series prequel.
it’s also a good way to ensure your donation actually goes to where it should.
no offense, man, but your idea of forcing the player to fight an enemy to see if they need a tutorial sucks ass.
it’s a nice gem of a game, really. Stan Lee does the narration!
