Is anyone but Dolt 45* and his clown college surprised that NK is now pulling shots? This whole thing reminds me of nothing more than when in middle school, kids discovered ‘dating’, but since no one had cars, or ability to be around other kids from their direct 10 blocks in their neighborhood (so if your crush lived

  • North Korea has suspended talks with South Korea and “warned” the United States following a joint military drill conducted by the U.S. and South Korea. The White House was reportedly “caught off guard” by this news, if you can imagine. [CNN]

The Code 45* team is not alone in recognizing the president’s penchant for “protesting too much.” That is, the more he screams his innocence about something, the more we know he’s def guilty of it. Every time he screams “NO COLLUSION!!” we’re more certain than ever that there was “ALL KINDS OF COLLUSION! SO MUCH

Are Joe Manchin’s hugs unwanted? (Turnabout is fair play)

Damn, I didn’t think SyFy had the balls to cancel this. It might be expensive as hell based on the killer effects, but it’s arguably their best show since Battlestar Galactica.

After this and the Dark Matter cancellation, SyFy is dead to me. (Magicians is still good, but I’ll just watch the next season on Netflix when

Clearly, I imagine wrong. I’m not prepared to critically defend Prometheus or Covenant, but I enjoyed them as well. I wouldn’t go into Resurrection expecting something on par with the best of the series, but I don’t think it deserves its odious reputation either. At the least, it’s fun and weird.

Aliens is one of my favorite movies of all time, but I thought Covenant was great. And I LOVED Prometheus.

I would disagree quite a bit that any of the films are perfect (even though I love the whole series).

I didn’t think the Xenomorph in Alien 3 was a downgrade, it felt more like a return to form: a singular unstoppable creature just like in the first movie. What I considered a downgrade were the “nerfed” xenomorphs in Aliens. Instead of an unkillable creature with acid blood that can eat through several layers of

Why? It was dire. Parker Posey’s Smith was just dreadful. The robot looked cool in the first episode then became a dude in a suit. It was a constant dredge of everyone making the wrong decisions time and time again, and was so riddled with cliches they should have called it Lost In Tropes. I only watched the whole

I never understood the hate for this movie- it’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but I always liked it. The success of the Alien franchise is in its willingness to change- I used to have a different genre for every Alien and AVP movie, but I forget them right now; the first is clearly a classic horror movie while the

If you’re talking about the 1986 sequel, I agree completely. Mostly because of Bill Paxton. The movie can’t settle on a tone until his character, who I am always laughing at when I’m pretty sure that’s not consistent with what the movie wants to be, finally dies. The characters who get offed before he does are

Kind of...except that the original doc was an over-the-top source of camp and weirdness, not just a humorless murdering junkie with the body count of a Manson family member.

...or as Jonathan Harris, the original doc said:

ALIENS is not nearly as good as people think it is.

I actually love Alien 3. It can’t hold a candle to its predecessors, true, but Alien and Aliens are the high water mark for sci-fi horror and sci-fi action movies, period. Tough acts to follow.

This is good news. The show definitely has the Netflix padding problem, but the ending of the first season suggests that a lot may be, or at least could be, changing as far as the storytelling format.

Good news...but please dump Parker Posey. Her character is annoying and unneeded.
