Not sure if it’s really true that dentists have a high suicide rate, but if it is, it could be because dentists meet people at parties who immediately say “oh! I hate dentists!”.

Being Depressed by external factors can get mingled with Depressed by your brain chemistry being wack. So when someone hears the D-word, sometimes they can go immediately to “oh there are so many people who have it worse than you and they’re fine!” Which, yeah, true, so you now get to FEEL BAD for FEELING BAD.

As someone who suffers from chronic depression, it’s always nice to see it addressed publicly and by someone who is otherwise successful.

When I first was diagnosed, I was almost 40. even though I’d kind of known a long time since I suffer from severe sleep apnea as well, but I’d always thought that was the cause, since I got diagnosed with that at 30, but I’d been exhausted and depressed as long as I could remember, I’d had suicidal

I’m so happy for my kids and their generation that people are discussing MI openly and without shame. I hope it makes it easier to come forward and ask for help.

It’s 2018, I think we all do. And, as a fellow sufferer, appreciate his honesty.
