If someone’s enough of a crackpot to go protest a restaurant for serving meat, I fully believe they’re enough of a crackpot to feed their carnivorous pets vegan food.

Foie gras can be produced via natural feeding. If he’s getting his foie gras from ethical sources, I don’t have a problem with that.

Those protesters must not have any pets, as the protein in kibble and wet pet food isn’t grown on trees. Would be ridiculously hypocritical to protest a small business serving free range meat and then go home to feed the family dog some Alpo made of bred animals. When vegan protesters gathered outside Toronto’s Antler Kitchen & Bar on Friday with a banner reading “Murderer” and chants of “you’ve got blood on your hands,” the owner responded by carving a deer leg inside the front window of his restaurant.

I think the carving up the leg right in front of them was a good. However the ultimate fuck you was going to the kitchen, cooking up some of the venison, and finally devouring it in front of them.

It’s people like this (the protesters) that give the rest of us calm, rational vegans a bad name. Shouting at someone is the absolute worst way to get anyone to see your point of view, and they are doing much more harm than good when it comes to animal rights. It’s no less than they deserve, with their socially disruptive pseudo-moral and pseudo-scientific ideas. Vegans are just plain annoying.

Animals eat animals. Humans are animals. Ipso facto, humans eat other animals.

Good reasoning and use of his own space against the protesters. I also appreciate that the restaurant specifically uses all of the stuff coming out of an animal in their food prep. Awesome stuff.
