I don’t even answer my phone anymore. The vast majority of calls I get are robocalls or scammers. I figure, anybody who actually does want to contact me will leave a voicemail. Yeah, it will suck if there’s some sort of emergency, but unfortunately thanks to a bunch of scammers, we can no longer have nice things.

I love reading, but the fetishization of all books is just so irritating. I’ve had people chastise me for dogearing pages of my own mass market paperbacks. One, it’s a mass market paperback that I probably bought from the used bookstore, and two, I bought it, not you. If I want to eat every page after I’ve read it,

If I had to guess, I’d imagine that every member of congress is taking kick-backs campaign donations from the telemarketing industry. It’d be pretty simple for them to pass legislation (it’s not a partisan issue at all), so there’s no reason for them not to do anything about it unless it hurts their bottom line.

Ah, but politicians want corporate donations and corporations fought against the Do Not Call List in the first place and are responsible for it not being enforced.

Won’t happen as long as the “anything for a buck” GOP is in control.

The number spoofing is the most irritating to me. One time I looked and it was my number calling. Apparently I was calling myself to lower my credit card interest rate.

Forget immigration reform, building the “Wall”, military budgets, tax reform, and nuclearized third world nations - politicians just need to get off their butts and find ways to enforce the damn Do Not Call List. This is what America wants and needs!!!

These advice columns tend to attract polite people who constantly worry that they’re breaching some unspoken piece of etiquette. The people who actually need the advice don’t ask and wouldn’t listen if you told them.

But he couldn’t veto THIS one because he had plans for the weekend. More worthless “tough talk” from the gassy waddling feeb, he has all the credibility of gum on your shoe.

I’m really sick and tired of all the winning.

“I guess if he was able to read past the 4th Amendment he might know some of this stuff...”

Trump responds “F-ck that” to adviser warning that he would face backlash for vetoing spending bill: report http://hill.cm/5vnhwEZ

According to Rachel Madow someone snuck in a lot of spending that punishes the Russians. I guess for once it’s a good thing Trump doesn’t know how to read.

Despite his threats to veto, Donald Trump signed the $1.3 trillion spending bill on Friday.

The NYMag article on Carson seems to say that his latest defense of the furniture purchase ( for which he was budgeted $5k, 1/6 of what he actually spent ) was ‘for safety’. Made me see red. Were I dictator for a day, he would spend a week living in whichever HUD complex is lowest rated just so he could comprehend how

That Idaho legislation is some sinister shit. “If any of her children have died”? The fuck is that about, if not a veiled threat that women seeking abortions will be investigated to determine if they’ve murdered their other children? Jesus.
