Oh, get over yourself.
Oh, get over yourself.
Yeah, it matters a lot where you want to live and where you can work. This sounds like a deal-breaker to me. Waiting until you get engaged won’t make the issue go away. The pain of breaking up only gets worse. Also, this woman is in her 30s, but she’s supposed to wait around for years (because, heck, she could die…
Yeah, that one’s confusing. Cracks about shock therapy aside, I just will never understand someone’s continued insistence on belonging to a club that doesn’t want them.
Do you remember the story about how the kid was writing a paper with headphones on and there was writing all over the house that said “LOOK AT ME”? It still haunts me and that was I think like 3 years ago.

LW3: I made some friends my first few weeks of grad school who turned out to be not so great. But the great thing about grad school is that you’ll soon be too busy, stressed out, and wracked with self-doubt to have friends, so this problem should correct itself!
I read your column primarily because I get a laugh out of how bad your advice is, but I was reading this wedding one and actually nodding my head with you thinking, here’s some solid advi.....: “Also, maybe you married the wrong person? When that happens we often look for signs of trouble anywhere we can find it.…
Regarding the 3rd letter: Jane:Don’t be so effing shallow. She doesn’t need to “ghost those fools”. She simply needs to speak up about her feelings. Either they will respect her feelings and their relationship grows stronger or their relationship sours. You don’t just “ghost” someone before even trying to fix the…
