I am always surprised when I hear shit like Aphex Twin or Autechre on commercials or Adult Swim bumps or whatever then I'm like "wait, this shit is 20+ years old.  It became mainstream while I just got old."

For as much as I don't give a shit about live action DC, they've always been a big fan of their animated output

I kind of landed on "not a very good movie but the fight scenes were good enough to make it watchable."

I like Gaiman but even I will admit that he comes off a lot better when he is working with good comic artists or Terry Pratchett.

I've been re-informed, but yes, that was exactly the article I was thinking of

“We were always wrong, butwe used to be faster!" is a good tagline

At this point I’ve just totally bought into Dwayne's schtick.  Rampage is on a tv less than 10 feet from me and I'm just like "Yeah, get that shit Rock"

I don’t know if you brought up knitting intentionally or not, but there was apparently some political battle on one of the main knitting (Or maybe crochet?) sites a few years back.

hilariously, while Voyager had plenty of dull, uncharismatic characters, Janeway was certainly one of the least dull and most charismatic. Hateable? Sure, but the show doesn’t work at all if she’s not dislikable.

The funny part about the angry Star Trek fans is that it's pretty similar to the "When did Rage Against the Machine get woke!?" crowd.

AAAAAAAHHH god I hate "free reign"!!!!!!

Not entirely related but Abe Vigoda was another one that I thought was dead for a solid 15 years before he actually died.

I think a core difference between games like Destiny and games that were LAN or even tabletop/board games it was a hell of a lot easier to say “I’m never playing with that asshole again.” Or for your gaming shop to tell a toxic jerk that they aren’t welcome back.

I mean, there are plenty of reasonably well off and even educated people with atrocious grammar and/or use weird colloquialisms.

I 100% forgot about that game but it was a lot of fun for such a simple premise.

Comically,  I was far more familiar with her from a Tori Amos cover of the song than the actual original.

It was a good game otherwise! Even if they made that an ability you could upgrade into I wouldn’t complain.  I just hated that it made the sniper rifle and the rocket launcher the best two weapons out of the box.

It's kind of like the people who look at The Boys and are saying "wait, Homelander is a bad guy??" when it was clear from the first five minutes.

Yeah, that's probably fair, but there are definitely some people who should know better acting confused about it.

One day I will paint these bullgryns that have been primed for 2 years tho
