Yeah I actually like Lovitz in a lot of things but I was going to hate anyone coming to replace Hartman's spot.

I have always been a proponent of "Operation: Get Paid" so I really can't begrudge him trying to have a little fun while he's earning his paycheck.

In a roundabout way, The Closer reminds me of Burn Notice in that they are both very cleverly written shows with fleshed out characters that have a beloved actor and make you root for some frankly not very good people.

To be fair, you even kind of hint at what I think they'll do.  There will be a new Black Panther, it just won't be T'Challa.

Thing is, actual national military forces occupying other countries hold themselves to higher standards about violent engagement with civilians than the police do.

Me too.  Great film, and once was plenty of times to see it.

Not entirely related, but the various versions of Kang in the comics make it practically impossible to tell what point in time the particular Kang you're looking at (or Immortus or whoever he is today) came from.  I wonder how much the MCU will streamline that.

I always felt like the second series was better than the first. What if the Silver Surfer took the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos was a really good one.  What if Valeria Richards had lived also had a lot going for it.  Although if I'm not mistaken, she is alive in the current timeline.

Since no one else appears to have mentioned it, it’s worth noting that Tom Parkinson-Morgan, the person who does the “Kill 6 Billion Demons” webcomic, is responsible for the art in Lancer.

I worked on a couple of games as QA at Volition, and I’ll give them credit: all of the QA testers were listed in the credits, including the temps who were only there for a few months.

I understand that "moon cricket" is a racial slur but it always confuses me as to why because it sounds kind of cool.  And yes, I know how to use Google, but every time I look it up I forget two days later.

LOL, my friend's stepfather was kind of a bigwig at Sears and said that Bob Vila was a complete asshole

As a white guy with Black relatives and friends, it honestly seems to me that the breakdown is whether or not they are religious.

Or, y'know, the entirety of American history.

Or, y'know, the entirety of American history.

Canonically, Uatu is already the Cryptkeeper for "What If?"

The apples symbolize apples.

I always thought it was so strange that they went with Craig Ferguson to replace Tom Snyder.  Snyder was a great interviewer with a lot of interesting guests but his sense of humor was dry, at best.  When he retired and I saw Ferguson for the first time I had no idea what was going on, but I decided to give him a shot.

I Am Legend always pissed me off far more than I, Robot did because it actually just completely misses the fucking point of the story rather than just having a kind of tertiary connection to it.  I probably would have liked both movies more if they just had different titles tbh.

It's kind of hilarious how little self awareness the Trump kids have though.  We don't give a shit about Hunter Biden because nothing he says matters, while all the Trump kids had parts to play in the Trump regime.
