On a not entirely related note, I discovered recently that New Hampshire doesn’t even require insurance, let alone inspections.

What the hell? There’s even a T station nearby. You’d almost believe someone thought this through unlike the Olympic bid.

Eh, at least parallel parking is still a useful skill in most of Massachusetts. Kerouac? Did you happen to take your test in Lowell?

Agreed. Even though I’m a civilian I was invited to a workshop at West Point back in high school. Never really considered going even afterward, but it gave me a much greater appreciation for what the military does. Anyway, just saying, even if I already knew almost all of this, great post.

Some people just can’t resist.

What a horrible thing to conduct.

I could totally go for either of those, despite my general dislike of displaying the Confederate flag.

I think a lot of it has to do with going out to do something at night rather than staying at home or driving to a vacation destination. Lower gas prices both make the driving more palatable and free up budget to actually do those things.

Crazy Harry at 28 is a freaking travesty

I don’t think so but he did nearly get run over by a taxi when visiting America for similar reasons

I spent a month in Australia, and while I never drove there, I did nearly get myself killed on multiple occasions trying to cross the street because I would habitually look in the directions traffic comes from in Murica. I imagine the problem is similar.

Levar Burton did the commencement speech at this year’s graduation at the uni I’m about to probably quit my pH.d program in. Kind of wish I went, heard it was good.

Speaking of which, are some people just really bad at wiping their ass? I’ve had some nasty poops and it still doesn’t take me 20 mins of wiping

Well duh. Mutant league football, not robots.

I guess my point is that maybe they don’t need to feature it weekly on kotaku anymore? Anyone who likes PA has surely found it by now.

Bit of a one off, and I’m late to the party, but I heard a story on NPR a few weeks ago about how one of the top aero engineers for Audi’s WRC (I think?) team is a woman. I was hungover, so I don’t remember all the details or remember her name, but my first thought was “oh, neat!”

I don’t know if it’s me or Penny Arcade that changed, but I can barely even read it anymore. I don’t like the change in art style and I rarely find it funny.

Even our leads were hourly. At least the project leads. Maybe even the two/three asst supervisors. The Head of QA is the only one of us who was definitely salaried to my knowledge. We were also unusual in that all full time QA were actual studio employees and on-site full time. At the time we were one of three full
