This is bull. Maybe the actor hoped for later involvement, but it wasn’t going to happen. He even qualifies pretty much everything he says (he thinks this, they were maybe going to later do that...)

I don’t think you’re opposed to Netflix or 4K. You didn’t say that and I didn’t assume it. But starting your reply by suggesting I’m misunderstanding you or projecting my own thoughts onto you is a cheap attempt to devalue my opinion. Don’t do that.

“The thing about Keanu Reeves is that he’s not a great actor.

But “the majority of their library is not available in 4k” doesn’t mean anything at all. If Netflix had 500 million films, but “only” 50 million were 4K, that’s still an insane amount of 4K content. So it’s the actual numbers (and quality of content, to be honest) that count, not percentages of content.

Things took an obvious downturn when John Teti stopped regularly contributing. Much of the AVC identity and style that made it different to other sites dissipated and the content got thinner and less worthwhile as the staff numbers dwindled (it honestly feels like it’s being written by two people at this point). Not

Actually the “new content in 1080p” leading to bigger TV sets in peoples’ homes isn’t my own opinion/fact - I remember reading it in A/V article about the incoming 4K format, and they were drawing comparisons. It was also UK-centric, which indicates some interesting social differences.

When they say 4K “when available” they’re just as likely talking about the users’ own bandwidth needs.

“...he said Soldado is “much more cinematic than Sicario was

Wood’s “high-point” must be when he started dating the 18yr old daughter of his, then, BEST FRIEND. he was 60.

No one’s paying for the 4K service to watch comedy. 4K movies and premium TV where it really makes a difference to the experience? Yeah, a lot of people do actually want that.

“4k is damn near indistinguishable from 1080p at any common screen size/viewing distance.

In the UK the Premium package went up a while ago from £7.99 to £9.99 (around $13) and is the only option that lets you watch 4K.

Really?  What if they HADN’T cast her.  It would have done worse.

I use spray sunscreen. It’s not an aerosol though, it’s a manual pump application. The spray is localised and dense and when it dries it’s not sticky. It also means I don’t have to keep going to wash my hands (and it takes fricking ages to get that lotion properly gone).  It’s also quicker to use.

And yet Rogue One got a free pass somehow, despite being a bunch of scenes slapped together badly and a main character who only seems to care about what’s happening right at the end (that speech is unearned and embarrassing).

“I mean, really, we already got a feature-length production of Snowpiercer. It was the original movie. It didn’t feel compromised or compressed in any way so I really don’t understand the need to remake the movie into a TV show.”

i remember talk long before the release of Sicario 2 that Blunt would likely return for part 3.

Likewise. The difference? I had a salient point I was expressing, and you...

no, it’s legit. Captain Marvel is, at least in part, set after WW2. Peggy is there. And then i assume she goes off into the cosmos or something and returns in Avengers 4. Coulson’s in it too.

There’s a few critics whose opinion I’ve come to trust. Dowd isn’t one of them, and I could have guessed almost exactly how this review was going to go.
