Have you ever been to PAX? Just out of curiosity?
Have you ever been to PAX? Just out of curiosity?
I mean, this is SF we're talking about, and anywhere from 5th & Mission/Market to just about 26th & Mission is just not where you want to be as a woman by herself, at night. I wore a skirt once on that street, in broad daylight. Never again. I've learned my lesson, 3 different groups of men leered at me(i.e. kissy…
Honestly, I'm not surprised by this story at all, lived in the Bay Area 8 years. I know that bus stop, I know that street. I would not have been caught dead by myself in that area. And that's from someone who has lived in the 'loin for just that long.
I've never listened to more than a few songs of his, nor am I much of a fan of his, and he is definitely fucked up.
It's also worth it to note that the type of respect is different as one ages, when a person is young and attractive, it speaks about their supposed worth in society, while and older person's worth and respect in society comes with age and experience, so it's more like youth and age are valued for different ideals.
Also face masks and tons of pore targeting products. Some of them work extremely well, I had assumed it was photoshop for the longest time until I was on a flight to Beijing via Korea, Koreans got their shit down. Porcelain skin on all the flight attendants.
That's implying that women doing both male and female things has been completely accepted by society. It has not been. Just as how a male doing somehow "feminine" things is looked upon as homosexual or unmanly, same type of double standard.
I hope that one day, we can all get to a place where promoting health does not equal fat shaming.
You're ignoring the obvious health detriments that occur when OBESITY does happen. It is NOT GOOD to ignore it, it's symptomatic of larger issues, whether its physical, or mental health.
I honestly don't think she should have been banned. It's not like she was, oh I dunno, part of a gang of rapists, or part of a religious cult advocating hate. She said a dumb thing, and obviously, she's paying for it. There are bigger issues.
Eh, those women/girls are still pretty without photoshop. It's best just to focus on yourself, rather than look for outside gratification. I say this as someone who often fails at this also, but I'm consciously trying to fix that. People who are skinnier, or prettier, or more glamorous, kudos for them, I'm gonna…
Hah, it's not that hard to do that, and for the record I make all my male characters reek of disgustingly attractive pheromones a la Thor. Mmm delicious.
Games deeply represent the cultural landscape of today. It reflects it, the fact that this can happen : http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/game… because of zealous gamers who can't even take critique on games, is sad, and represents the game community and it is real. And it will continue to happen unless people address…
The sad part is you'll probably never see the issue, nor will you ever understand. It's not really your fault, you are probably male, and born male and have had male privileges that you've probably never really even realized.
I really want to address the insane need for people to feel "normal." There is nothing wrong with being different, none, yet people all have this overwhelming need to be labeled as "normal" or "average" due to the desire to not want to be outside the norm.
These women are much braver than I, kudos to them. Also if you're selling plus size lingerie, then of fucking course your gonna have plus size women modeling and buying them.
It actually pains me a little to say this as I was totally set about not giving a crap about Frozen but damn, it was much better than expected.
Hair as a platform element or a weapon could have been super cool. but the game developer in me thinks they just got conservative with it, the mechanics of that are way more complicated than swinging around a frying pan. Laziness really but whatevs.
Most of it is whatever, just people trying to have a kitschy event to attend, but it's not quite the same as the wild west theme cause that's not appropriating a whole country and culture into an ignorant, simple, exotic stereotype. And who knows, cowboys nowadays might find that equally offensive, or, they might…
I'm sure there was a classier way to do this.
