Didn’t the Catholic Church in America rake in millions from the government programs designed to help “businesses” keep their doors open?  Sad that they couldn’t be bothered to try and put some of that money into saving these nuns lives.

It often seems that the nuns of any religious order tend to be the more progressive of the faith. Since they tend to be the ones who do the ‘in the field’ work they see more of what is actually going on and are more influenced by that. It’s of course not true of all nuns, and is dependent on the order, etc etc.

I’ve always respected and admired nuns. (Not entirely sure why, but Mom went to Catholic school for eight years and was taught by actual, wimple-wearing, ruler-wielding nuns, so that could have something to do with it.)
