All CVTs are not built the same. I’ve driven this car multiple times. It’s fantastic and the gears shift smoothly and effectively. It’s not only a great family car, but despite its size, it still feels planted to the ground.
The new Supra and the 86 twins are both fantastic platforms. I’m glad they exist.
