I did refer to the remote with rolling code because of that problem of the internet of things.

Or they are more attackers and also have guns and are ready to shoot you first and then see if you really have weapons.
Maybe no one have wanted to attack your house, and if yes, it wan’t almost for sure the dog to stop them.
Home alarm system with security fog is a fare better bet than a dog. If that alarm is connected to a central station and have cctv to confirm the intrusion then it will be even more useful!
And yes the alarms…
In other news most burglers don’t care about alarms, specially in hit-and-run kind of attacks. If you are relying in the alarm, you need to add security fog to the system, otherwise most times the alarm will be useless to prevent people from actual take things.
Most burglers don’t care about dogs, sometimes they even take them, or just kill them if they do try to attack.
In this days you should take digital pictures and use a program like XolidoSign or even better P7S Signer to digitally sign those pictures with a secure date and time from a authority like GlobalSign, Digicert, Comodo... and others. It is probably a good idea to use more than one authority. That way if the owner says…
Put security windows, or security film... some even resist to bullets and small explosions.
Until someone wants to come in... then most locks won’t keep anyone outside.
They are moving... they were such a good neighbors...
Connect to the alarm, security fog that is immediately deployed when the alarm rings. But you need to make sure you can disconnected from the outside or that there is a second door to make sure the security fog is useful.
If they aren’t a (recent) grade 1, it probably isn’t that great.
Then security doors, and security windows (or security film on the windows) should be enough to keep those people way.
Hey! Because they are just lazy! Come on! They are every where, you have been just lucky, nothing more. You should prevent.
The flag makes no sense, the dog can be taken care with any gun.
And a gun is the only thing need to disable that only security permanently. If it does try to protect when you are not around in home... most dogs won’t attack unless the family is around.
But if it makes you feel safe...
Unfortunately security by obscurity rarely works... either they are really secure... or not! Most is not! And pick the look is usually the last thing that thief’s try, but some use that technic specially if they want to steal something without people knowing before is too late... or because they cannot bypass the door.
Well the windows can be protected with security film (can resist bullets and even small explosions), but the door most be solid!
I can imagine that you could use some electronic door lock (with security bars that enter in the wall and ground) that lock the door from inside and was activated by a secure remote that has a rolling code, or by some smartphone app. Of course the door most a security one... or they will just smash the door.
In this case security windows or security film would prevent that invasion. Also security fog would not allow them to see what they were doing if it was immediately deployed after trying to break the window.
Nothing than some gun can not solve immediately without a problem.
