Fair theory.

I believe he's making a joke referencing the Stonewall Inn riot of 1969.
Bears-Packers would disagree about your first statement.
The saddest part is that Boston sports fans actually seem to believe that only their guys do this sort of stuff.
Because it's related to Boston Strong. Our guys take some pride in what's happened in Boston Strong
Tying your team to a tragedy that happened more than a year ago is cheap and makes everyone outside of Boston hate your team that much more. Plus, your tough guy shit has gotten beat two years in row by teams who are just more skilled.
I 'm loving the increase of hockey posts on Deadspin. But please, refrain from publishing anything written by Ryan Lambert. He is the worst.
So... they are smarter than Republicans, who use their Obama bucks for what... Doritos and meth?
the lack of appearance on the Dem side, plus the lack of turnout of those who do appear, compared the democrats' recent victories, seems to indicate, that either democrats don't do the internet (seems unlikely) or this survey is absolutely crap
They must not be very prominent Republicans, because those guys tend to dodge drafts.
Is he better than Scuderi? Marginally. Better than anyone else the Penguins had out there? No. Perhaps marginally better than Orpik, but Orpik was already under contract.
And, of course, possession stats peg him as relatively bad, because terms like "leadership" and "veteran" and "hard hitting" are invented to create fake upside for players who allow a lot of goals and don't create any.
You could argue Malkin, or Stamkos, or Toews. Honestly, when they're both fit Geno is a more dominant player. And he very clearly outplayed Crosby in this playoff, and it's not the first time that's happened. (Actually, I think it's the fourth time.)
Because they're smaller schools. Athletic budgets come mainly from enrollment figures, not the NCAA.
The NCAA isn't a brand anyone cares about in football. The schools, conferences, and bowls are the "brands" in college football who get all of the money from college football - not the NCAA. The conferences could leave the NCAA tomorrow and wouldn't miss it for 1 second. Do you think people watch the schools in the…
So you think that if the SEC announced tomorrow that they were leaving the NCAA then people would stop going to games? The NCAA did not create interest in college football. No fans go to games because of the NCAA brand. These programs would exist outside of the NCAA.
Again, there are athletic programs who aren't under the NCAA umbrella who give out athletic scholarships. Likewise, if the NCAA ceased to exist, people would still want to watch college football on TV. The NCAA doesn't create, and never have created, the demand for college football.
Sure they would. Athletic scholarships predate the NCAA, as does College Football. NAIA schools award scholarships.
