As long as he's prevented from harming other people ever again, why do you care if he's playing video games or reading Harry Potter or knitting in prison? How can his suffering or boredom help the victims?

I agree with you in a general sense.
However, this guy isn't exactly a "general" criminal.
Some vengeful thinking is acceptable here.
yeah well people like you are the reason our fucking system is so broken. thanks
Scandinavian countries have such better justice systems than basically anywhere else in the world. They give prisoners laxer sentences and they experience much less crime. Keep your vengeful attitude to yourself and actually think please!!
21 years is the maximum sentence in Norway.
HOWEVER, he will never walk free. Detention can be extended by 5 years in special circumstances, and after these 5 years it can be extended again... and again... and again.
I'm not a bigot, I just hate gay people!
Good lord. So not only is that guy apparently a terrible father, but as soon as one kid succeeds despite him, he freaks out that the kid is gay. No wonder Michael Sam played so hard. He wasn't trying to impress his dad. He was trying to get away.
"I don't want my grandkids raised in that kind of environment."
In other news, half of the NFL's GMs just added "Angry father could provide distraction" to their lists of things to say the next time they have an off-the-record conversation with Sports Illustrated.
Texting his father the news was probably the second-best decision Sams made this week.

Learning more than one language would be a good idea for everyone. That's why, if you know English, Spanish and German, you can function in pretty much every European country. Just about everyone will speak at least one of those languages, or something very similar (Italian or Portuguese).
If people want to keep their…
Well I guess the fucking idiot quota at Ivy League schools is still in place. Fuck affirmative action, that's the shit we need to worry about.
But someone who rationally and intelligently states a differing opinion, including the reasons for that opinion, does not deserve to be painted with either one of those particular brushes.
it seems that today those that come seem to expect things to come somewhat easy to them, whereas in previous generations it was hard but people seemed to accept the hardship as the price of the opportunity
lol, son.
About halfway through this commercial, my husband and I were like "oooooh boy some folks are gonna be maaaaaaaad". There's apparently already a petition about it. Some local news in VA was asking people about their favorite commercial and got a bunch of whinging about this one.
How hard is it to just be happy that…
Who else saw this commercial live and waited for this article to pop up?
